Viki was born in Nova Scotia and graduated from Acadia University, Wolfville, N.S. with a B.Sc. (Hon) in Biology in 1976 before pursuing a career in veterinary medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. Upon graduation in 1981, she joined Borderview Veterinary Hospital as a full time veterinarian and has been an integral part of the hospital for over 30 years.
Viki is an active member of the Niagara Peninsula Veterinary Association, the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, the College of Veterinarian of Ontario and the Canadian Academy of Veterinary Dermatology. She has been a long standing member of the American Animal Hospital Association and was part of the veterinary team that achieved AAHA accreditation for Borderview Veterinary Hospital in 1997. Viki attends the Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine continuing education seminars monthly to maintain her level of knowledge and professional standards of practice.
Viki enjoys reading, gardening and bicycling in her spare time and is a board member of the Bert Miller Nature Club and a member of the Crystal Ridge Book Club. She was one of the original members of the Zonta Club of the Fort Erie area, a world-wide business and professional women’s organization started in Buffalo in 1919 that is dedicated to the betterment of women globally.
