Melissa grew up in Niagara Falls and grad­u­ated from the 3‑year Veteri­nary Tech­nol­ogy Program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario. She has been a regis­tered member of the Ontario Asso­ci­a­tion of Veteri­nary Tech­ni­cians since grad­u­a­tion in 2001. Melissa’s RVT employ­ment has had her work in Missis­sauga, Kingston and St. Catharines prior to joining our sister hospi­tal Borderview Veteri­nary Hospi­tal in 2013. After complet­ing her mater­nity leave, Melissa joined the Niagara Veteri­nary Emer­gency clinic full time until her return to Borderview in 2018. Melissa tran­si­tioned to Pelham Animal Hospi­tal in July 2019, she also still needs the emer­gency medi­cine in her life and contin­ues to do occa­sional shifts at NVEC. She currently lives in Niagara Falls with her daugh­ter and two cats, Tucker and Tyson. Melissa is an avid Leafs fan, concert goer, loves sports, spend­ing time with family and friends, as well as reading, road trips and spend­ing time at her families cottage.
