Surgery

This is a totally enclosed and dedicated area solely for the purpose of asepetic (sterile) surgical procedures. Strict protocols for the proper care and use of this area are followed and routine quality assurance programs for sterilty are maintained. The surgical table has a circulationg hot water bed to help maintain our patient’s core body temperature and ensure a quicker recovery. A variety of monitoring devices check heart and respiratory rate, oxygen tissue levels and temperature. All general anesthesia cases are intubated and maintained on inhalent anesthesia. All veterianrians have surgical training and several years of surgical experience. We provide many surgical services from routine spay/neuters, to extensive soft tissue cancer surgeries and selected orthopedic procedures. Occasionally we refer some cases to specialists (board certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations such as neurosurgery.
