Dr Christy Walker
Christy was born and raised in the Niagara region and is very excited to be practicing veterinary medicine and raising a family in the community she loves. She graduated with an Honors Specialization in Biology from the University of Western Ontario in 2011. From 2011 to 2015 Christy worked hard to achieve her DVM degree from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. Growing up Christy had a collection of many wonderful pets including, not only beloved cats and dogs, but also a quirky rat, opinionated/mischievous ferrets, beautiful doves and fish. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially connecting with clients and working with them as part of a health care team. Her special interest is animal behavior, properly addressing behavioral concerns can be a difficult and time consuming process, but the benefits to the human/animal bond are well worth it. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband (Josh), son (Asher) and cat (Duck), playing music and enjoying the outdoors.
